Should I go sapphire? GIGABYTE? Etc.

BTW - much difference between R9 290 Tri-X and R9 290X?

From what I've seen this gen Asus is terrible for amd. Probably Sapphire or Gigabyte.

Ryzen 1600@3.8ghz / 16gb 2400mhzASRock B350 ITX / Gigabyte RX 470 4gb / 256gb M.2 / SG13B-Q / Corsair 450w

R9 290 vs R9 290x are both two different GPUs, with the 290x being the more powerful of the two, like 780 and 780ti for nvidia.

The Tri-x refers to the cooler name, three fan design, so tri. It is a really weird name considering AMD use x to denote different GPUs now.

My R9 290 Tri-x seems to be going well so far, only had it 2 days.

Hasn't hit 80 degrees yet, and fan without me changing the curve has yet to hit 50%.

Gigabyte one from what I've seen is also very close to it.

CPU: 6700k GPU: Zotac RTX 2070 S RAM: 16GB 3200MHz  SSD: 2x1TB M.2  Case: DAN Case A4

At the moment, people on OcUK report the Powercolor PCS is the best non-reference design for cooling. But a certain BIOS issue makes it pretty bad for mining. So if you are just looking to game, get it or wait for the MSI 290x Lightning if it ever shows up.
