My motherboard came with this cable, I assumed it was recommended I should use it just because it was included with the box. I was having some strange problems with my board so I called EVGA support and they told me that I should never use one of these (although ultimately it wasn't the cause of my problems).

Confusing as to why it was even included if customer support will tell you never to use it, but regardless it already provided no known benefit and now I know it's good for nothing but problems. Not like this cable can cause your PSU to provide more power via the EPS connector anyhow so I'm not sure why it exists in the first place, unlike something along the lines of a PCIe adapter since some graphics cards won't turn on without all the ports filled.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
