i have an old optieplex with an core i7 4790k and 8gb of ddr3 ram. im not shur if i should upgrade i want to be able to play (halo 1 through 6 and mincraft and forza 4) in 1080p what grafics card shuld i get i have an old ati but that would not be spurted i have an 150 maxum.

The 4790K is no slouch that's for sure, but when it comes to an old Optiplex the power supply comes into question. Depending on what model optiplex you have, you can swing a $50 PSU along the lines of a Rosewill Capstone or EVGA GD and then drop the rest on an RX 480 or 580 which should be excellent for your 1080p target.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
