AMD FX 8350 Overclock - 4.4Ghz

Hello!

I did everything you said. Set timings to 9-9-9-24 and 1333 mhz instead of 11-11-11-28 1600mhz.

Turbo core off, cool n quiet off, apm off, c1 off.

C6 is set to ON tough.

I changed the multiplier and got to 4.2 Ghz.

When the pc booted up I didn't notice that double "fake booting" so it must have worked!

I'll do some test with prime 95 and increase to x22 4.4ghz  and see if that cause problems.

Best of luck to you, you should be able to manage 4.4 with less than 1.4V.

The problem has not been solved.

When I have my system OCed, I get the cold boot issue which seems to be frequent with many gigabyte boards.

When OCing to 4.2 I had Turbo, C1,C6, Disabled and set ram timings manually to 1333mhz 9-9-9-11. Multiplier x21.

Basically, when I power on my PC, the fans will start as normal for around 3 seconds, before shutting down. This happens twice, before it will start booting up normally.

BUT. If I set everything to default the problem disappears and everything is fine. No loop.

Please take a look at what HW says, maybe some kind of voltages issue:

I have it 100% Auto what does it mean?

Also what the hell is this vcore LLC?

Lets see if I can remember. These settings might be overkill but they work for me.

LLC: Extreme

Vcore: 1.45-1.50v (under load)

Ram voltage: 1.57v

NB: 1.25v

CPU multi: 21 or 21.5

FSB: 205

Ram at 1680 Mhz, timing 9-10-10-30(or 28). 1600 Mhz ram with CL9.

NB and HT speed set manually at default speeds, altho they run a bit higher because of FSB overclock.

Powersavings off mostly, though I tend to run C6 and C&Q enabled.

I have a measly gigabyte 970a-ds3p. I get blackscreens and core errors in OCCT if I go lower with the vcore coltage.

If you want a quick test, run OCCT CPU test for 5 minutes, with 8 or 16 threads. Thats all it takes for me to find out if my system is stable, heatwise and otherwise.

If I understand LLC correct, it decides how much voltage you can feed to your CPU. Extreme feeds a lot, by default. I just leave the CPU volt at +0.00v. Same with NB.
