Clevo MXM GPU Upgrade

Thanks for coming to this post!! ( Need some Help)

I got old Clevo laptop, and want to upgrade it to the max. ( i know it's not worth it), but its my loved machine and it runs grate even today, only GPU power is low.

In the Bios as motherboad name say: P170EMx Clevo

Specifications at this monent: I7 3720QM   16gb ddr3   and Nvidia Quadro 5010M 4GB 

I checked a lot of forums but there is old post... some said that upgraded perfectly with gtx 680m and some say that is working with gtx 980m mxm 3b but post from long time ago.

and on some sites and ebay i saw mxm 3.0b cards going as new like gtx 1060 6gb.

So my Questions: Where i can find bios updates for my model? ( Clevo website is a bit messy and dont show bios as downloadable think, only some old drivers.

                             Any knoledge about clevo or my model and mxm graphics card upgrade? what maximum i could get. Its confosuing befouce of mxm 3.0 3.0b 3.1 plus dont know how much my bios can support it. Plus power delivery

                             And what Cpu could i get? as 45W i can get i7 3840qm but i saw there is i7 39xx EM or something like that but 55W tdp. Will it support ?

You can buy your parts from eurocom, However it is extremely pricey. My advice is to just keep this as a backup laptop and look for a "new" gaming laptop... or *cough* desktop

You can also download your drivers from eurocom as well. My link SHOULD be the right one. Verify it yourself to be sure.

Ohh i just noticed it sais in the web page that my laptop with special bios is upgradable with GTX 980m and GTX 1060

And it supports the last i7 3940XM .

• GTX 1060 can use the original GPU heatsink with no modifications but you would need to repaste thermal pads to match the new card layout

P.S. I texted Eurocom another day and they have very old stock with old prices that dont make sence. I will use ebay instead and i am sure i will hunt a good deal.

I can't exchange this for gaming laptop. This machine is Stone age but build like a tank. i want to keep it atleast 3-4 more years as main pc, and then leave it on the shelf as a memory for a big beast.
