Hi, I'm building a new desktop for machine learning and gaming. This is my current build, but I'd like to shave off a little money if possible. I want to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows, and was originally contemplating two 1tb ssds, but decided against it due to cost. Would you recommend two smaller drives? Any other suggestions?

Damn my bad. Should be fixed

Looks good for gaming. Not too familiar with price to performance for machine learning.

As for dual booting, you can partition a single drive to have both OS's there. That should be cheaper than 2 individual drives but it depends.

Just thinking that it would be safer/generally better. Also then more games can be on SSD. Thoughts on going down to 3800x and adding another SSD?

Would go with the 3700X and save 40 bucks. Still a great CPU.

Enjoy the build ;)

I came up with an Intel alternative for the build. Which do you think I should go for? I'm kinda leaning still towards AMD because of the high core count, but I have to shave 50-100 dollars off of it somewhere. Any suggestions? (I'd prefer not to change the monitor)

I'm not too familiar but for sure don't spend more than $200. Should be around 150 for a good X470

Ok, so I've decided I kinda want to do an ITX build, but was wondering which build to go with. One uses a smaller case, which is nice, but I'm worried about the thermals for the 3800x and also decided to go with a hybrid GPU because of the small form factor.

EDIT: the reason I'm still going with the x570 mobo s partially because I need the wifi.
