Just need help with my CPU temp. I used to average 35°c on idle. Now all of a sudden I get a spike up to 75°c. Not sure why? when I check on task  manager it closes before I know why it spikes.please note I didn't change any of my hardware (stated below). Checked antivirus nothing there any help???????

the only thing I know that works is loading up Task manager again when it spikes and temps go back to normal.

yes I did clean PC of dust and have got T Grizzly thermal paste.applied.

most likely some sort of power bug that doesn't let cores idle when it's in an idle workload, then only gets bumped down when you start up a different task (task manager, in this case).

Might be fixable with a bios update but honestly it's only an issue with laptops as they have to deal with battery drain. 75C is perfectly fine. If you have expensive electricity then I'd go forward with ironing out the kinks.

Daily Driver: Redmi Book Pro 14 - Core Ultra 7 155H | 32GB/1TB

Primary Desktop: NCase M1 - Ryzen 7 7800X3D/RX 6950XT | 32GB/2TB

Travel PC: Fractal Terra - Ryzen 7 5800X/RTX 3060 Ti | 16GB/1TB

I have too many computers. List here.

thanks for the reply, much appreciated. Bios is updated and still the same.

I attached a pic and the RB_1.3.60.11 (32 bit) is what is causing it and then task manager closes. when i open it up that process disappears and the temp drop.

any ideas on what it could be and how it could be stopped?
