My MB not aligning with standoffs due to pre-installed IO shield

I just bought a gigabyte z390 aorus master MB and i am trying to just put it in my nzxt h700i case but the standoffs are not aligning and i cant screw it down. Had no problem with my old MB. I think its the pre-installed IO shield that the master comes in. I have tried pushing it in but any more force i think ill damage the board. Some align some dont.

Sometimes, when I install a mobo into a new case, I find that the standoffs on the case do not quite align with my mobo, but I usually resolve it by pushing the mobo a little harder against the back of the case till they align. But, odd thing is, the IO backplate usually align nicely onto the cutout, yours seems a fair bit off though.....

That IO shield should be slightly adjustable, be sure it's aligned and apply a reasonable amount of pressure to align the board with the standoffs.

I believe that IO shield is one of the newer types where it's basically stuck onto the mobo, same goes with the IO shield on my X570 Aorus Xtreme.

Double check your standoffs are oriented correctly for your board. Double check that something small isn't getting stuck under it, even a 4-pin from a fan. Based of your picture of the rear of the case it looks like your board is still at an angle, however very slight.

This is the only way i was able to make the standoffs align by making the preinstalled iO shield "overlap" the cutout.

My apologies, but FYI some motherboards with pre-installed I/O shields are adjustable for this reason.

Glad you got it figured out. GL with the rest of the build! ?
