Android and AT&T data usage different?

I can call *3282# on my phone and it sends a text to my phone telling me how much data I used on my phone. I can also go into the settings app and see my data usage there too. I have the data cycle set the same on both, but they give me 2 different amounts. Why is this? It was a bigger difference towards the end of the month (about half a gig difference)

Data Usage Cycle so it's not exactly the month.

Oh and thanks for telling about the *3282#  never knew that :D

But I just find it weird that it was almost half a gig off at the end of the scheduled cycle.

And no problem I actually just found out about it yesterday haha
