Hello,

A few months ago I got a tech company to build a computer for me and ever since I’ve had it, every so often the computer will suddenly freeze, make a rebooting sound, then after about 3 seconds it will unfreeze. This happens seemingly all the time, under any load - last time it happened I only had YouTube open. Task manager shows that when it freezes my cpu goes up to 100% load, and my gpu the same but only for video decode.

I sent it in to the tech guys and they did all of the stress tests for cpu, gpu and memory and nothing came up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My specs:

i7 8700 3.2ghz (water cooled)

RTX 2080

750W power supply

16gb of ram

what's a "rebooting sound"; is that like when all the fans ramp up?

It might be possibly caused by a driver issue or a misbehaving background program. Are there any errors in the Windows event logs for the same time? And have you run a virus/malware scan?

Also, does it do this with everything unplugged except the absolute minimum of power, monitor, mouse and keyboard?
