2 GIG internet?

My ISP just recently started supplying internet speeds up to 2000mb. Out of curiosity, what would I have to do on a hardware level to my home and PC to be able to actually use all 2000mb's.

2.5 or 5 gig networking from Intel, or 10 gig from aquantia for the PCs. I presume they will supply a Modem that has a network port that can handle that speed, please check that first. If it just has multiple gigabit ports then you can not use more speed than that by any one system at a time, so you will need to do nothing on your network, and you'll have to distribute the load in order to take advantage of the internet connection.

alright thanks guys, in my heart i want to buy it, but i think my adult brain is stepping in and is going to just stick with 1 gig.

Do you mind if one device maxes out at 1 Gigabit (125MB/s)? If you dont, just use 2 1G routers and connect both to the modem (and make sure that thing could do at least 2 gig)
