welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

by the limited information, is this a PC you are looking to build? the build is for what? gaming? content creation? web crawling?

we kindas need more information to why this thread was made..

I would drop the focus PSU for an RMx, BitFenix Whisper, Straight Power 11, etc.

If you aren't using the Evo 970 Plus for heavy file creation (4K video rendering, e.t.c.) something like a Sabrent Rocket would save you a lot of money and works just as well.

For almost every task the 3700X or 3900X is as good or a better option than the 9700K. That would depend largely on the intended use of the PC. I'll assume you are wanting Intel based on reputation, so I'll keep that:

But I'll add an easy swap in for the Ryzen alternative, which blows the 9900K out of the water in a lot of processing, and even keeps up in those area Intel usually excels.

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor $499.00 @ B&H
Motherboard Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard $189.69 @ OutletPC
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total (before mail-in rebates) $728.69
  Mail-in rebates -$40.00
  Total $688.69

Add in your chosen price for windows. You can grab a working copy on ebay for $5 or you can go to Microsoft and pay $100.

Then see above, and I'd look at the 3900X CPU.

The 9700K is not a content creation CPU. (Its not Hyperthreaded.) The 9900K is the way to go if you're going Intel.

Yeah, but I would rather have intel then Ryzen but I understand what you’re saying
