Posted November 2, 2019 hello, i would like to build a pc using many of the parts that i already have and i need it to be efficient (I'm broke...). should anyone help, i would be grateful. i have intel core 2 quad q6600 2.4ghz, and 3gb ddr2 ram, radeon hd 3600 with around 1.7gb, and a stock dell dimension 9200 mobo 0wg855, and 375 max watt power supply. i have no problem in buying new or used parts, but i need it to be efficient meaning sub 50 dollars, i would probably be pushing the limits with 94 dollars,(i am that broke, but on the other hand, no need to include case or cooling or OS) thank you for any help. And with a build that old you have USB 2.0 your "SSD" is technically slower than a standard HDD. The only thing you can do with this build is add a dedicated GPU like a pcie power only 750ti as @Genwyn suggested and upgrade the ram. My personal opinion would be save some money and get a completely new build, I would never put money into a system that old.
