Replace CPU or Motherboard?????

To start off, here are my PC components:

R5 2600X

Asus Strix B450-F Gaming

2x8GB GSkill 3200 CL16

GTX 1080

970 Evo boot

2TB HDD

For about a year I had this configuration with the memory running at 3200MHz in an XMP profile. It was perfectly stable that entire time. About a month ago I needed an extra 16GB of memory so I bought a second set of the same kit and installed it. I lowered the speed to 2933 because I know Ryzen has a more difficult time with 4 dimms. It didn't work. I got constant and various memory related BSODs in Windows. This ended up corrupting Windows and I had to do a full reinstall. It continued until I dropped the speed to 2133. Even then I had the occasional issue. I have since removed the extra RAM and now I can't run the RAM beyond 2400MHz without a BSOD every couple of days.

It is worth noting that this exact kit is not on the QVL list for my motherboard, which I know is already a bad start. However, the RAM worked perfectly prior to attempting 4x8GB. Something went wrong and I want to figure out what to replace. I am perfectly fine with upgrading to a 3600/3700x or x470 motherboard (ideally not both). Does anyone have any insight into this issue??

Try changing this setting from default 100% to higher value, that solved my similar 4DIMM RAM issues on X570.

I hope I have that setting on B450. It would make sense that a power limit on DRAM would cause my 4 DIMM problem.
