Hello,

does disabling SVID-Support actually make a difference when overclocking with Manual Voltage?

Because then the Voltage is fixed anyway isnt it?

Manual voltage?  No.

It may affect some sort of sensor reporting or the CPU communicating with the VRM, but manual voltages directly program the VRM.

It will affect how the CPU will respond to auto voltages and possibly the AC/DC Loadlines, but how, I do not know, as I don't have an Asus board. I do know that if SVID support is disabled, Throttlestop 8.70 is unable to control or monitor voltages in windows.

Ok thx, i wondered why der8auer did set it to disabled when ocing the i7 8700k.

But when ocing the i7 9700k he left it on auto so maybe he just thought it made a difference but noticed that it didnt.
