Hello,i'm going to upgrade my CPU from a celeron G440 to an Core I5-2500K

My motherboard is a h61m-p3.

i'm prety sure it will fit in,i already have the CPU in my hands, both are LGA 1155,but i dont know if i have to change any software inside my pc,like the BIOS,OS etc...

Any recomendations for the software?

Generally you don't need to change any software, but since you are changing the CPU, your Windows License might get revoked.

Usually when I upgrade CPUs, I do a clean install of Windows to avoid any issues. But that's just me. Other people have had no issues when changing processors.

the CPU doesn't have any software associated with it, you should have no problems at all just dropping it in and using it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
