So I have 2 monitors and I tried connecting my second monitor, but somehow it doesn't work. I plugged all the cables in (even re-plugged) and it still says: Cable not connected. I got pretty desperate and I don't know what to do anymore, please help me. I got a GeForce Nvidia 1050TI and the Acer TFT 24" KG241Q Full HD Freesync.

What do you mean?

Just what I said, plug in both monitors, go to Windows display settings and see what it shows about your dual monitors, if anything

It doesn't detect the second monitor

And under the controls of the 2nd monitor, the ones built-in, can you switch between video inputs? On my monitors I can choose from HDMI, VGA, or DVI, it's not an automatic thing. Maybe yours needs manual setting?

What are the connection (physical) options on the monitor? I'm wondering if it doesn't like the DVI to VGA adapter

HDMI, HDMI 2 and VGA. But since I only have 1 HDMI output on my CPU and I don't have VGA output on my pc I bought a DVI VGA adapter

What adapter? It may need to be an "active" adapter. One like this: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-DVI-D-Active-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00C93JQXS

I use four monitors myself, and have to use active adapters.

Hmm, have you also tried a non-active adapter? If yes what monitors?

Non active adapters will not work, plain and simple. That's why we need active ones. I went through this myself years ago and learned the hard way.
