Sewing Machine oil - safe on plastic/electronics?

Bluuz

I have a Razer Deathadder with squeaking mouse wheel and an Oroboros with squeaking mouse buttons (Hurray for Razer QA).

I've looked around the house and all I have is some sewing machine oil, specifically this brand: http://www.amazon.ca/SEW-RITE-Precision-Machine-Oil-32oz/dp/B00C1QCVCG

I'm getting mixed opinions on whether it would be safe to apply this to the areas of contact that is causing the mouse to squeak. Anyone care to give some insight?

Perhaps a silicone lubricant would be appropriate. Some oils will degrade plastic parts.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
