Logitech MX Ergo

I know the logitech MX Ergo has "Unchangeable buttons" like the two shift buttons and DPI change button and supposedly this can't be changed but is it possible (Through 3rd party software or other means) to change this. I am thinking of buying it for gaming and the extra buttons would be great.

 

Also, has anyone got any ideas on how to keep my G613 from gathering so much dust?
