bang for the buck Best Laptop under 1600 CDN

Hi everyone! I am planning to move from India to Canada this December for a 2yr PG (Data Science) course. Being new in the country, I really want to know from where to buy a laptop and which brand has a decent yet affordable service here. Historical context out of the way , my main question is down below:

 

I have to buy a new laptop as a requirement to my course and it should have the following rig:

• Intel I7 or AMD processor with chipset that must support virtualization
• 16 GB of RAM
• 1 TB hard drive
• Ethernet Network Card
• Wireless Network Card
• One USB 3.0 port (two preferred)
• 3 Yr comprehensive parts and labour (Recommended)
• Windows 10 Professional Edition

My budget as of now is $1600 CDN. I can also stretch a little more if required. I am an ardent gamer as well, so the laptop would be used for gaming as well as college stuff (projects, programming, AI/ML fun stuff)

 

So far, the two laptops that looks good to me are: 

1) Alienware m15

2) Asus RoG strix hero

Attached snapshots for both. I need some help if there are any other laptops that are better than this and would be great for me. Thanks in advance!
