Hi Guys,

I am planning on building a HTPC for my lounge/livingroom

I have already purchased the GTX 1650 gprahics card to go in this system my plan is to do some light gaming directly on here (mainly minecraft and fortnite) and anything more demanding such as whicher, watchdogs 2 gta v ect i can do in home streaming from my main machine upstairs with a 2070 in it. I also plan on using this machine as a plex server so I will be adding a 6TB HDD for movies that i have on top of the 1TB SSD for windows and games.Thats also why i went with a Bluray drive on this machine as i wanted to be able to watch blu ray/ rip them to the HDD.

take a look at the specs and see what you think im trying to make it as much of a budget build as possible while still getting decent performance

I'd suggest using the stock cooler. If you really want something else a relatively inexpensive air cooler like the be quiet Pure Rock Slim.

A 450W psu is more than twice the required capacity. Consider a CX450M or Focus Gold 450.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

not sure that cooler will fit in the core 500? also id like to go higher on the powersupply as hopefully it outlasts this build like the psu in my main rig did so it just gives more headroom in the future.

According to the Core 500 specs, max cup cooler height is 170mm.

Buying a part based on a guessed at unknown future seems wasteful to me.  We have no idea what psu tech will look like in 3+ years, nor do we have any idea about likely component power requirements.
