UNSOLVED - freenas can't install plugin

ERROR:

"[EFAULT] Exception: CallError:[EFAULT] pkg error: - pkg-static: /var/db/pkg permissions (0775) too lax Please check your network occured, destroyed bacula-server."

 

ERROR DETAILS:

Happens when trying to install any freenas plugin (Plex, Bacula, Syncthing).

Internet is connected

Have successfully installed a virtual machine already and it connects to the internet

There is info from the ix community that suggests remove the old IOCAGE

Tried removing the old IOCAGE a few different ways and it won't delete

The IOCAGE directory is the only thing that has ever actually installed when trying to install a plugin

I should note I searched the forum for the topic subject and had 20 results, none relating to my issue.
