Hi Folks,

I recently built a new rig, Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Mobo, i7 9700K CPU. I'm using Win10 Home edition. I have been issues connecting devices to the internal Bluetooth that the Mobo came with.

Initially, I couldn't get anything connected. As in, it wouldn't even find devices that I wanted to pair it with. I followed multiple troubleshooting tips online and tried multiple things:

- Remove drivers and let Windows reinstall them

- Install drivers from Gigabyte support

- Install drivers from Intel Driver & Support Assistant

- I tried setting the Windows NT version on the registry to something different, I think an article suggested `2.2` instead of `2.3` ( I've set that back to the default value since )

- I updated the BIOS to the latest version based on what Gigabyte has on their support page.

I'm posting here wondering if there is something obvious that I'm missing that could fix the issue which to me, would be the ideal outcome. Otherwise I was also planning on buying a USB Bluetooth "dongle" the last time I had one of those (5-6 years ago) they were really bad in terms of range and reliability, is that still the case? I'm not super concerned about occupying one of my USB ports with it because I have plenty right now and this would basically be opening up 3 more if I could just connect to BT.

Would it be better if I got a Bluetooth Card? To me, this is a lot more effort and would rather not do that unless the benefits are way better over USB.

Thanks in advance.

Update: Bought a dongle and the best I it sorta works, it will connect to my headphones but if I connect my XBox controller the sound quality goes down and sometimes choppy. But that makes me think the dongle is just not powerful enough to handle both? Regardless, seems like it might be a hardware issue on the mobo onboard bluetooth?
