Starting sim racing

AlexAxill

Im 16 and really love cars and driving but I can't get a license since getting a license where I live requires you to be at least 18 years old. So I want to get started in sim racing by buying a g29 and a shifter for it.

Money isn't the problem since in a month or two I can gather the money required but the problem is my parents.

I asked them in the first days of August and they said that they won't let me get it because I needed to focus at my homework and school that was about to start saying I would get distracted. 2 months later I still want to get one so I'll ask them again but I feel like the answer will be the same.

Thing is thougth that I stopped playing games on my PC everyday and only play at the weekends. I have been studying a lot and will continue to do that. I'll propose that I will only be playing on weekends but I feel that's just not enough for them to say yes

Could you please help me by proposing a couple more reasons why they should let me get it.

Btw of course I won't stop studying I could just replace my free time  of watching YouTube videos by using the wheel on the weekends.

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

tbh it's now a really bad time to ask for it, i.e. at the start of a school year. Best is to ask after you get the final school report at the end of the school year with good grades on it.
