I would just use Edge for it. I have always had issues with F@H Web Control on Chrome.

So I've started Folding@Home this month like I do every year in October, and everything worked fine all day with a complete Work Unit within a few hours. 

 

Now I went away for an hour or two to run some errands and figured I'd put my pc to its full use and turn the dial to full until I would be back.

 

Well I'm back now and it seems the Web Control client froze.

A short summary of what's going on:

Not displaying Identity

No longer controling the power used by F@H

Constant "Reloading" of the page, flashing every other second.

Little black bar in the bottom saying "Waiting for My IP Address"

 

Next to these issues, the F@H process is stuck at full power and I can't really seem to find a way to turn it back down aside from stopping the process altogether in task manager.

 

I hope anyone here has had this happen to them and has found a solution to this problem. I run an AMD system so it's getting pretty toasty in here..

In your taskbar is a Folding at Home icon, right-click on it and select "Advanced Control" from there you should be able to adjust the priority and pause slots etc.

Browser control is also not really working fine for me either

There's no icon to set up advanced control. The icon in my taskbar disappeared. Switching to Edge did fix the issues with the web control.

interesting. Can you launch the program directly via the exe?

FOLDING MONTH 2021! GOGOGO and save on some heating costs 🙂

I can but only when the control is running from within Edge, I tried it with Chrome again, same issue and the FAHControl.exe would start up but not connect. 

 

It seems to only work when I open the web control via Edge manually.

Verry interesting!  On my system the exe starts no matter whats going on with he web control
