Hi everyone, hope you guys can help me resolve this issue that has plagued my whole family for more than a decade (well to be fair I never bothered to really spend time researching it)

This house is mainly concrete just like when Linus is in Singapore (link)

I did watch the video but I am so clueless and Linus did not go into depth in explaining what and why and how to do it accordingly.

How do I properly setup so that I can have decent wireless connection anywhere in the house (if I can get a stable working connection outside the house too that would be even better)

It is a two storey cluster house.

If you are kind enough to point me to any resources (articles or videos) that can help me understand more about networking that would be very appreciated too.

If it matters, I am currently using a home wireless internet service from a local telco since my area does not have fiber internet coverage yet (it's going to be available in December).
So it's a 4G network just like a cellphone, but stationed in a place that gets the best coverage in my house 2nd floor.

Please let me know if you need any other info, I really want to setup the network in my house properly because 6 of us live together with occasionally 8-10 people constantly around.

TL;DR

Too many people and devices in the house.
Signal strength too weak and limited to connect everywhere and be stable even if managed to connect to it.
Cannot game properly due to latency issues even with ethernet directly connecting to the router/switch device.

This sounds like an issue with your internet provider. You're getting terrible connection even with plugging into the router via ethernet? What are the download speeds when you do that.

If your entry speeds are garbage it's only going to be degraded once you put it into a wireless router and you try to access it from your cell phone or laptop. Could just be your ISP is pay walling better speeds or your location just doesn't have good equipment for good speeds. Who do you have and what plan do you pay for? What is the minimum your contract says you will get (not the advertised max speeds but like fine print contract minimum).

I fix computers for a government that is garbage. I'm also a certified security professional according to Comptia

Using my paycheck on computer parts and alcohol and since this is a tech form I'll help with computer stuff I guess

It sucks, let me get the model number and advertised speed to you in a bit. But the network is only as good as what a 4G cellular network at my area can offer (SIM card), even though this is an issue as well, I'm more concerned about the coverage and stability now rather than the speed for obvious reasons (I have no way to improve that as of now until the fiber is laid out and installed at my house)

Now that I'm looking at the picture I am getting a better idea at the problem. You don't have this plugged into the wall or something because this box actually is just a wireless box acting like a phone to connect to a satellite. Most likely LTE as you said because 5G isn't really that common yet. Where is this located? Near a window? Do you have windows lol? Try to move it to somewhere it can get direct line to the sky. There is no way you're going to get any good connection without it being there.

Now for the problem with coverage and stability. I assume that your house is too big or perhaps like you said the walls are concrete and some ares just don't get the speeds you like them to be. You're best bet since this little box has to be in a area that can get direct contact to the satellite you're going to have to get wifi extenders. You can simply look on amazon for wifi extenders or go to like a local best buy and see if they have one that isn't a rip off. Getting a few and putting them around the house can make connection throughout the house better. Luke has made a video on something like this but advertising here:

Yes you're correct, my country haven't roll out 5G yet and the device is right beside the window after several locations test, it's at the best location stability and speed wise.

What's the difference between mesh and extenders tho? I've been confused about it for some time. I'll do some reading now, thank you so much for the replies!

So extenders and mesh are very similar but also different. If you want to just listen to differences watch the second video.

Briefly extenders will receive the signal coming from your modem. It then turns around and makes it own wireless point. It's like you set up two wireless routers in a room with one being connected to your isp and the other one getting internet from your first modem. They can have different settings but one relies on the other for all it's internet. They can have different names or the same but sometimes devices have problems automatically switching to better connection ones (depends if the device is older than 2014 I'd say or just super cheap).

Mesh on the other hand is different as it's all counted as the same network. So it's like setting up two wireless routers in a room and they are carbon copies of each other. No differences. Your phone will automatically switch between them when it needs to.
