So I have been looking for a sound bar hoping to get a better sound out of my tv/gaming set up than just regular tv speakers and was wondering how good a sound bar would be as I have never actually purchased one before.

This is the one I have been looking at but it appears that it is very similar to This One which I have read some people complain about the sound out put but wasn't sure if people are just expecting a 3.1 system to sound like a 5.1 set up or what their expectations are.

I noticed that the HW-R650 supposedly can be paired with this to add even more speakers.

What do you guys think or is there another product that would provide better performance without breaking the bank?

Thanks,

I would just get a real speaker set up if you go beyond the like $50-60 bluetooth soundbars on amazon. Kind of limit on how good a sound bar can be IMO, considering the size they go for.

My amazon basics one sounds fine anyway and it was like $50.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Thanks, for the input. I'm not super familiar with sound offerings and am looking for something that has a bit more punch but am kinda limited on room for a nice 5.1 or 7.1 set up.

I've heard some of the 3.1 speakers in store and I don't know if it is just how they have them calibrated or what but most of them seem to sound a slight bit "tinny".  But maybe that is all you get in that size range not really sure.

Just bought my dad an LG SL7Y soundbar, being the first soundbar we've experienced it was quite nice for the price. It easily filled the room with sound. Audio and build are both nice, only downside is it has 1 HDMI input but has optical in.
