PG27VQ vs PG279Q

I'm looking for a new gaming monitor, the website I'm looking at in Norway has a sale on the PG27VQ with a TN panel for about 650€, meanwhile, there's also the IPS PG279Q for 600€ (not on sale).
I'm pretty sure that the IPS version is the better choice, but the normal pricing of the TN is about 850€ and I just don't get why it's so expensive outside of sales, does anybody have an idea as to why?
As a side note, if anybody knows of upcoming alternatives that will be better in some significant regard, I'd be willing to wait.
