Windows close automatically

I'll start by saying that I cannot find this issue anywhere else online. Basically, when I have a maximised window open such as chrome, and I have a 'restore down'ed window on top of it, if I hover off the 'restore down'ed window for even a second, it minimises to my taskbar and I am just left with the maximised window again. This is particularly annoying when, in games, I try to move my cursor from the game to my second monitor. When I try this, the instant my cursor moves onto my second monitor, the game acts as if I have pressed alt tab and minimises to my taskbar. It's most annoying with games but still is inconvenient with other windows. Please help me.
