My pc just booted into the blue screen(Recovery) and gave me the File:/Boot/BCD error. Error code 0xc000000f

What the hell do i do... Please help me.

i have never actually had this error but i have done a bit of googling and this is the results from it

The OS may not read booting configuration data because of various reasons including;

  1. Corrupt boot sector due to power outages, virus/malware infection.
  2. Damaged hard disk due to power outages.
  3. Corrupt system files due to improper shutdown and/or power outage.
  4. Damaged Hardware

try this first

1. Remove all hardware attached to your computer except the keyboard and mouse.

2. Remove any CD, USB and DVDs from their respective ports.

3. Restart your computer to see if the computer starts normally.

You will need to identify the damaged hardware just in case your computer starts smoothly without the error 0xc000000f.

if this does not work a microsoft volunteer moderator suggested this

You will need a Windows 10 boot disk if you don't have one.
Installing Windows 10 using the media creation tool - create media then
boot with it.

OR use this method :

If your system came with Windows 10 the System Maker can supply the disk for a small
cost since you already own Windows.

Sorry i should have said but i stumbled upon the Ltt Vid about the Ahci vs Ide.

Now i am realising that enabling ahci on my system was a mistake because i dont think that my old ass system can use ahci.

Second i dont have a usb or win 10 cd my activation was digital with my old uab for installation.

I was able to enter the advanced settings and follow the fix with the elevated cmd. but the fix would been applied to the E:/ not C:/ which is my game drive not Os ssd.

Now i am getting that Boot/BCD error.

Sonis there any other way to fix this i curently dont have usb drive for the media creation tool

if it is a desktop are you able to remove the E drive and try the fix as it should then only recognise 1 drive
