Bottleneck issues

System Specs:
CPU: i7-8700k@4,3ghz
GPU: MSI Ventus RTX 2080
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000mhz CL15 (dual channel)
Mobo: Asus Rog Strix B360-F Gaming
Cooler: Corsair H100i pro

So my problem is that my CPU is most of the time at 100% usage and my GPU at 65-70%. I play on Ultra preset and 1080p. Most of the time i have around 150 fps and it even drops sometimes below 90fps. Latest BIOS and driver for the GPU are installed. Tried to reinstall windows but that didn't change anything. I know this game is meant to use all cores and use them as much as possible, but with a 8700k and a 2080 i should get way more fps. 
CPU temp is also fine.

Can anyone help me?

I can help, and it's really easy for you to do. Just use a 1440p or 4K monitor, and the problem will go away.

Prolly overclock the cpu as much as you can. Maybe use an FPS cap. 

 

I have the same issue. Was thinking of making another rig as using 1440 is just a handicap I’d rather avoid.

base clock is 3.7ghz. I tried the open beta from CoD today and there i have over 144fps the whole time. I don't mind the CPU being at 100% but the FPS drops shouldn't be like that

Those statements completely contradict each other.

Can’t have more with a cpu at 100 normally.
