ADATA M.2 install

Need to install this on Astrix X570-E board. To me it seems that the "XPG" worded sticking bit goes on the Chip. I have seen it on Youtube. So, my question is that when I install it, I assume I need to put the Strix-E M.2 cover on it (with the sticky paper removed). I hope I have made this clear.

Pull the cover off the M.2 slot on the board and see if there is a thermal pad there or not.  If there is, just use that.  If not then use the pad that the drive came with (with the XPG on it).
