The main factor here is not 'wether or not it can support a computer'. How much experience do you have? What kind of look do you want? What's your budget? Some wood types are easier to work with, some are cheaper, etc. Oak is generally a good choice, not too hard to work with, relatively non-expensive, it's hardwood so you don't have to worry about dents or stuff like that when you work on it, etc.

Yeah put button eyes and makes wings out of cardboard and pray paint it black

Pray paint? Hmm I'm not sure whether praying to have paint on a rock would work that well. You pray to beg something from god such as his support or something like that but I don't think that he would (s)pray paint it for you.

I have a lot of hardware experience and electrical experience, However Not much wood working experience, That is why I'm asking. I'dd like a dark wood, I want a dark modern look, and it needs to be able to hold 150 pounds. Also Im looking to stay under 400$

The weight shouldn't be an issue, a well-built desk could easily hold a few people standing on it! What kind of tools do you have?

For the darker look, the easiest solution is to add a colored finish that will be of the color you'd like. Don't buy the wood in function of its look/color, usually you can obtain a very good result by painting and applying a nice finish to most type of wood.
