Are they any good is the question, Your probably fine with that strip controller given 2 things. Thing 1, you don't add to many LEDs, ie. strip length. Thing 2, your power supply should be beefy enough to drive the Nth number of leds connected.

The strip of leds, is literally just a strip of leds and resistors...

If everything is 'bundled' it probably works together, be aware the ad has 2 different types of strip controllers, make sure you get the right one for your length (current rating). Ebay sells exactly the same thing BTW, its worth a look if you want to save a few bucks.

Most if not all led controllers operate pretty much the same way for that type of strip lighting. So finding a 'better one' is really going to be dependent on the mosfets used (current rating and switch speed).

also, those are not, individually addressable, so your going to be limited to changing the whole strip, so like no chase effect, no half and half or anything like that.

As far your the bulbs, I haven't the slightest idea about the quality.

Explanation if your still curious as to what the hell I'm talking about

Spoiler

Ok, so.... 90% of the time those cheap led strip controllers look like this (see pic)

For the sake of explanation (those particular strip controllers) have two major parts, the brain and the brawn. We don't care to much about the brains, the brawn consists of 3 high speed power mosfets (in red). Those mosfets turn the strips on and off at a high rate of speed. That said, each mosfet has a 'current rating' that they can not exceed. This is the typical point of failure for those devices, they heat up to much and shit the bed.

So if your controller can handle 4 amps '''per channel''', make sure your leds arn't pulling more than 4 amps per channel (red, green and blue).

If your controller is rated at 4 amps, to err on the side of safety, divided that by 3 (channel number), and your max current per channel is 1.33 amps

The ball park for strips is 1.2A total per meter, not per channel, so a 4Amp controller should drive 3.33 meters of lights.

What complicates this calculation is the introduction of pwm (pulse width modulation), this affects the amount of current the led can draw at any given time  (less current = more lights).

So the same controller (if its using PWM... the right way) it might be able to really handle 6.66 meters @ (1.2A/2) 0.6A per meter.

Buy the brand from another website if you can. I went to look at it and the site was blocked by Malwarebytes due to fraud.

Wouldn't recommend. I got two shipments of light from them and both were defective in some way. Very disappointed
