Hello techs so i just build a new system with ryzen 1200 and rx 580 asrock phantom gaming x 8gb.My question is my rx 580 goes near 85-7 celsius  when gaming metro 33 at very high or gta iv with fans 2500rpms, i went to Radeon wattman gave the fans 500+ but the temperatures are same, but when gaming skryim high is 65-70 arma 3  same,the temperatures go down on those game's most likely they are not demanding as previous games  ...Q is what do do with my rx underclock it? Swap the thermal paste? I have already 3 fans in my case 1outputs 2 insert .

well... 85-87 isn't a point i'd like to have them

 

i'd first try to swap paste and pads, and if that doesn't work swap the cooler for something like the morpeus or acellero

Maybe use msi afterburner to control fan speed set your own curve and using commas will be very helpful to better understand your problem good luck.

Yep i thought the same will mx4 do the job?any suggestion about pads...about acellero or Morpheus i like got the GPU a month ago i could give 50+ more to get a nitro...(i think i made a bad decision picking asrock)

i mean... asrock can do some good stuff, but they've been a bit behind on cooling

 

mx4 will do the job, and i'm not that good with thermal pads here, see if you can find a dissasembly so you can find the thickness you need

The stock pads are fine. Just repaste and tune voltage a bitm that should be enough.

 

As for temp target, as long as you're under 87-90, you have no real reason to worry

well... you can sometimes break them

 

so having a couple on hand isn't a bad idea
