Steam Game Payment

ahuckphin
Go to solution Solved by ahuckphin,

Turn's out the bank I used SMS wrongly in regards to the transcation being uncessful. Double checked with bank and Steam support, transaction succesful. Yay!

I bought a game from steam with a card. I was then able to download and install said game. However I was also informed that my card is not elligble for internaitonal transactions. This means (to me) that I didn't actually buy the game. So how would I go and re-pay for the game with a different card?

Generally speaking, I don't think the Steam store would be blocked from your card in terms of being able to do transactions. I'm guessing the international transactions thing would have to do more with using the card physically outside of your country.

Usually they retain the payment a couple of days. And depends of the financial entity it they freeze the money, or ask yourself about the situation with the account. The time it happens to me, Steam let me play the game until the case was resolved (I just call my bank to make me a international virtual card, and used to pay the money to Steam).

A quick fix will be to call the bank, tell your problem and maybe they will fix the problem in the sight. Or maybe you can do a virtual credit card in your bank web site and use that to buy things around the world.

So just play it? It's likely going to stay in there forever. If there's ever some payment issue valve will contact you to correct it.
