Dell Optiplex 7010

I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex 7010 with the i5 3570 for $50. I'm planning on upgrading it to an i7 3770, my question is, until I get an i7 3770, could I put my i7 2600 in it? I've read a couple of threads that say yes, and a couple that say no. I would like more advice before I jump into it and really mess something up.
