HTC One system update 4.4

I got the update for Android 4.4 and downloaded but when I try to install it, the phone will go into recovery mode and do nothing else. Anyone know how to fix this? (I'm a noob)

The 4.4 update should be on ur phone so u should be able to manual update through recover.

I went tried installing it in twrp and it now gives me error flashing

I think if its stock rom that came with the phone you need to use stock recovery.
