G-Sync monitors have a display controller designed by NVIDIA, which makes them more expensive and not compatible with AMD cards. G-Sync compatible use the VESA Adaptive-Sync protocol instead, which accomplishes the same thing but can be utilized by AMD cards or NVIDIA cards.

so in terms of the quality of g-sync on both monitors they're exactly the same in terms of what g-sync feels like?
