Hey, thoughts on this mobo?

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus-rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-socket-am4-ddr4-atx-motherboard-mb-6cc-as.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwh8jrBRDQARIsAH7BsXc4lgEAVfwMmvtE1MZy9xPuZXnI8Z9Wj_WTxNG2qcvFpWnhAPQOfaMaAnPyEALw_wcB#tech_specs

Any recommendations for better ones with the same features at a lower price? (Need to get the price of my oard down to £100 or less). Its for a 2600 + 16gb 3200mhz ram if that helps :D

Thanks for the help,

Lex.

not a board I'd buy. I put overclocking potential first, and this board is electrically the same as what you get on much cheaper boards, say the Prime B450 Plus, with better heatsinks. Still noticeably worse than the MSI B450 ATX boards, let alone AMD X chipset boards bearing the Strix (or even the entry level Asus X570, the X570-P) name.

CPU: i7-2600K 4751MHz 1.44V (software) --> 1.47V at the back of the socket Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (BCLK: 103.3MHz) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 RAM: Adata XPG 2x8GB DDR3 (XMP: 2133MHz 10-11-11-30 CR2, custom: 2203MHz 10-11-10-26 CR1 tRFC:230 tREFI:14000) GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Dual (Super Jetstream vbios, +70(2025-2088MHz)/+400(8.8Gbps)) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (main boot drive), Transcend SSD370 128GB PSU: Seasonic X-660 80+ Gold Case: Antec P110 Silent, 5 intakes 1 exhaust Monitor: AOC G2460PF 1080p 144Hz (150Hz max w/ DP, 121Hz max w/ HDMI) TN panel Keyboard: Logitech G610 Orion (Cherry MX Blue) with SteelSeries Apex M260 keycaps Mouse: BenQ Zowie FK1

Could you possibly recommend a board with good oc capability or a good x series board? I don't plan to upgrade to ryzen gen 3 so x470 / b450 is fine :D

Budget is £110 or under

 :D

Many thanks,

Lex

B450 and X470 boards can run Gen 3. I'd faulting the B450-F in terms of handling CPU power draw for the price, that's it. Even memory OC is something you should only consider with greater budgets.

Cheapest decent option is the MSI B450M Gaming Plus at 78 pounds. ATX version cost 85 pounds. Then there's the Tomahawk at 109 pounds (feature upgrade mostly).
