I don't game very much  like I used to but when I do I would like for it to be a decent experience. Currently I have a lenovo sff with an i5 4570 +GTX 1050 Ti  along with 10gb ram and 1tb ssd+2tb hdd. It's a pretty good system for regular use however I am not satisfied with the performance on 1440p as my monitor is 2560x1600p. I have a GTX 1060 6gb laying around I could throw in but i'm not sure if that will be enough. I am wanting the best bang for my buck GPU for 1440p and right now it's looking like a used 980ti  What upgrades do you guys recommend. Also Will i struggle streaming with this CPU?

Yes you'd have issues trying to do CPU based streaming with the i5 4570.

What you can do is grab a vanilla RTX 2060 for discount (since nVidia phased it out in favor of the new RTX 2060 Super) instead since the card is around on pair with the GTX 980 Ti give or take but then you have a much better NVENC core in it to allow GPU based streaming.

How would the 1060 6gb I have laying around do?

What games are you intending to stream?
