Would ram speed increase fps

Hi there, I'm running an i7-7700k with asus maximus gene 8 (z170) mobo with 24gig Kingston hyper x ddr4 2133mhz c14 ram and gtx1080ti. I have a 144hz monitor running at 1080p and would like to know if I would gain any frames per second if I changed my ram out to lets say a c16 3200mhz ram kit?

I unfortunately don't know how to overclock or I would have,was hoping someone on the forum had tried something similar before with results

It can increase FPS in some cases  yes, but its not nearly as relevant with Intel chips as it is with Ryzen. You will see some increase in FPS, but not much. Usually in the 3-5 fps at most.

Oh ok cool, thanks very much. It was because of the rizen fps increase one gets with high frequency ram that I was wondering if my ram is holding me back a little

yea RAM speeds are a much much higher impact on Ryzen chips because of the infinity fabric, which is the interconnect the CPU architecture is built on.
