Gaming CPU needed

In terms of pure gaming performance and just that, 9900k.

 

In terms of value, price-to-performance ratio and best all-rounder CPU for gaming and any workloads or productivity work then it's the 3700X.

 

In my opinion, and I may be biased here, the 3700X is the easy choice. Other than slightly better raw gaming performance (if you were to tag the 9900k with a 2080 Ti at 1080p which no one would or should) the 9900k doesn't have that much going for it since Zen 2 came out, in my opinion.
