PC doing weird noises

Go to solution Solved by Talfrau,

So apparently it is my brand new graphic card. Rip.

I used MSI Afterburner and let the fans run constant on 50%. The sound dissapeared after. So i am gonna return it and buy it somewhere else since the shop i bought it from does not have it anymore and they do not know when they get new ones.

Hello,

my PC for the last like 4 weeks is doing some weird noises and i can not discover where it is coming from.

Link to the Audio File i recorded: https://vocaroo.com/i/s1xxsCtXpOQb

One of my tech friends says it is the hard drive but I am pretty sure it was not running at one time where the noice was made. The noice is not ther permanently. It is there for like 15 secounds and then it dissapears again and comes back sometimes after a minutes and sometimes after longer time.

It sounds really quiet but it is not at all. It is really annoying.

Would much appreciate any help.

Ps. The sound started shortly after I activated X.M.P in my Asus Prime Z270 A. My Ram is this one: http://www.gskill.com/product/165/184/1536055972/F4-3200C15D-16GVKRipjaws-VDDR4-3200MHz-CL15-15-15-35-1.35V16GB-(2x8GB)

Also at the same time i bought a 8GB Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Windforce 8G. Had a Gtx 970 before that.

Edit 1  I just deactivated X.M.P. Lets see if the sound is still there.

Edit 2: It is still there.

sounds like hard drive or dvd drive if u have one.

maybe a fan.

u just gotta listen when it comes on. next time it happens record it and move your phone around the case. then listen to the recording back and hopefully you should be able to tell where it gets louder easier and see where abouts its coming from.
