I had that happen with my lenovo too, only solution was to reflash bios using an eeprom programmer. I hope someone else can provide you a solution though.

You're probably screwed unfortunately. If you fancy taking the thing apart you can try removing the battery but Lenovo laptops have a reputation for not forgetting passwords. I believe they offer a forgot password service but it requires sending them the machine and proof of purchase.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Or this would also work.

I recently got two Optiplex 360s, one with a fully locked bios and one with a partially locked bios. The solution for removing that password was beautifully simple: just temporarily remove one jumper and boot. Once the password is gone you could put the jumper back. Perhaps your laptop will also have such a jumper (or somewhere where you can connect the pins using a screwdriver or so) to do the same, though it being a laptop unfortunately makes the chance for it having this smaller.

PC SPECS: CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k @4.4GHz - Mobo: Asrock Extreme 4 (Z77) - GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr 2GB - RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x4GB (8GB) 1600MHz CL8 + 1x8GB - Storage: SSD: Sandisk Extreme II 120GB. HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W semi modular  - Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D  - OS: Windows 7

Thank you, do you know how much an EEPROM programmer would cost?
