How hard would it be to shrink full gpus to a chip (Pentium 2 size)?

Which part of the Pentium 2? The whole package, or just the chip?

Right now, impossible. The RAM and primary cores use too much space, and are already about as small as they can get.

Just that mobile graphics cards are a lot smaller, how about that size & the same performance?

Mobile cards use shared system RAM instead of dedicated... System RAM is always MUCH slower. You are never going to get a mobile GPU that meets or beats the best desktop GPUs, or even the same GPUs with dedicated RAM.

Just look at any of the "washer mod" videos for the 5700 XT to see what GDDR6 chips look like. They surround on 3 sides the main core, and are plainly visible. (they're also bigger than the core)
