Hi, i wanted a new PC for a while now and could finally decide on a config.

Before i buy it though, i wanted to hear your opinions on it. Is the build rounded or are there any obvious flaws?

 

For my PSU choice, i heard somewhere they run best (most efficient) at half of their max load. I also wanted to keep the option of putting in a second GPU for that SLI goodness.

Is the TUF X570 cheaper? Uses the same VRMs and has wifi as well IIRC. 

Could go for a 5700XT over the 2070 Super, performs the same and is usually cheaper.

The Focus series have had issues with really hungry cards, IDK if that's just the Golds though, and IIRC that's mainly an issue on Vega and older cards with massive wattage spikes under full load. 

Other than that it looks solid af, you've done your research. Great choice of RAM for that CPU, the DRP4 is an awesome cooler, case is solid, and I'm running a 1TB 970 Evo so I can confirm they're damn good drives.

I would look for a smaller profile RAM if you are going to use the Dark Rock pro 4, since it blocks the memory slots. It is a pretty big cooler.

970 EVO and EVO Plus are too expensive for gaming use with all the other options out there.

 

I wouldn't rebuy my 860's again, Samsung is just too pricey these days.

From what i checked it should fit. I can´t confirm it at the moment, since the bequit side is down.

Oh they do. SLI is like having two girlfriends.  Rarely do you get the benefit you dreamed of, and more hassle than just one

The TUF is slightly cheaper but unfortunately it is missing some connectors for the front io. The Wifi would be a nice bonus but i don´t think i will need it since i have a Lan-cable and i don´t plan on moving my PC.

I must admit i am somewhat of an Nvidia fanboy and realy want raytracing. So AMD cards are not realy an option.

Yes the ram will be really close to the cooler, as you can see in this picture,

 

 

This is the Trident-Z RGB which happens to be 40mm tall. So it is a close example on how it will look like. It depends upon you whether you want your ram to be that close to the cooler or not. Otherwise you might consider going for the Corsair VENGEANCE LPX which is 31mm to the tip.

Then the 2070 Super is solid, it's one of the best bang for the buck cards Nvidia has out rn AFAIK.

Wow thanks for the Photo, i only ever checked if it would fit, never how close it actually would be.

Did you notice anything wrong with it being so close to the cooler?

No, it just hides the RAM which is not a problem but could be bad for aesthetics especially when you are investing your money on RGB.
