i'm trying to get a custom resolution working on my MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2012, which is running Windows via bootcamp.

the problem i have is that the native resolution is 1280x800, which is too cramped for me. on macOS i can scale the display to 1440x900 using an app called resolutionator. it makes the dispaly a little fuzzy but i can deal with that. i want to do the same thing under Windows.

i already tried CRU and it didn't work.

the full specs of the MacBook are in my signature.

Go to the display settings menu, advanced settings, then the montitor tab. You can then uncheck the box that says "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and it will then allow you to set the resolution to settings in the same aspect ratio and some 4:3 ones

that box is grayed out. it also says Generic PnP Monitor as the device.. i don't know if that has something to do with it.. Windows is not really my thing.

i have installed the BootCamp support software by the way, and everything else is working fine.
