Hi, I am looking for a new motherboard for my PC. I really like the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 but on Newegg the board seems to be hit and miss whether you will actually get a working one. This also seems to be the case with all the other Z77 boards on Newegg, they all have older 4-5 star reviews and then all the recent ones are 1 or 2 stars because the board is DOA. Is this a problem with Newegg shipping? or the fact that Z77 boards are becoming older now? Where can I get a reliable mobo from?

Check out my Build Log: Project Contrast

Did you read the post? All of the reviews on those manufacturers boards are 1 star because they are DOA.

Uh? All boards that were rated atleast 50 times have 4 stars. Just don't trust Neweggs review rating especially if they come up with DOA, who knows what theyve done to it or the problem is something else than the MB. If there are a few doa boards its just a very small percentage or the manufacturers forum would have been full of it. Even the best S2011 (Rampage IV Extreme/black) has 4 stars.

Can't find a board that has 5 stars and has been rated over the 50 times.

Most people that have a 100% working board don't take the time to write a review... I have an Asus Z77 Sabertooth and it works absolutely flawlessly.
