X570+3600 ram problem

I recently upgraded from a intel pentium G6505 to a ryzen 5 3600.

My specs are R5 3600 + x570 a pro ,one 8gb 2400mhz and a 8gb 2133mhz ram, 550w corsair psu, gtx 1050ti 4gb.

Im getting a problem whn i put the ddr4 2133mhz ram stick in , it boots into windows (fresh install) but almost imediately gets a bsod and the memory_managment error message.

Halp pls.

Well, mix matching ram makes both sticks run on the lowest rated speed, so in your case 2133. Does it boot just with that one stick in it?

advised for ryzen is 3200/3600mhz really benefits the speed of the cpu

Maybe a faulty stick. But I strongly suggest getting at least a 3000mhz kit. It will benefit you strongly

In order to not run into those issues, you need to run a matching set of sticks, preferably 3200/3600 speed.  Make sure to enable the xmp profile when you install them, so the ram runs at the proper speed.  If not it will default to 2133.

Memory compatibility is different for each motherboard.

Also be sure to quote people or use @Stormseeker9 so we see your responses.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

AMD has always been particular with memory and memory speed, just a higher standard than intel i guess... lol.  Either way, even if they did work, running at 2133 or 2400 isnt ideal, especially now that you went with the 3rd gen chip.

Yes, at the bare minimum.  Go with 2 matching sticks.

Yeh, a couple of those would do you some good, especially on Ryzen.

Ram is pretty cheap, you can sell your current ram too for making up the cost
